The lost village of Swist
The 800-year-old Swist Tower is the surviving church tower of the old pilgrimage chapel on Swist Hill. The Swister Turm e.V. has been opening the landmark of Weilerswist on the occasion of the action day for several years now. In addition to the guided tours with stories about the history of the tower, the association invites visitors to enjoy coffee, fresh waffles and cold drinks and to linger.
Note: At 2.00 pm, the Eifel- und Heimatverein Vernich starts from the Swister Tower for a guided hike. Details under no. 22.
