In this lively live program, award-winning guitarist, singer and storyteller Richie Arndt tells of life in the South with authenticity. You can expect a varied evening with exciting stories, great live music and impressive photos. Guitarist, singer and songwriter Richie Arndt has long been a fixture on the German music scene with his emotional playing, moving songs and concerts. His great passion is the blues and American roots music, the roots of today's rock, pop and jazz music.
On the Mississippi in the footsteps of Elvis, in Tennessee at the origins of bluegrass, blues and country, in Alabama in the famous music studios where world stars still play today. The Rolling Stones, Cher, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Paul Simon, many country and soul greats and even southern rockers have recorded countless global hits here. And then it's off to Mobile, a city full of Spanish and French traditions. Mardi Gras, the carnival of the South, is even older here than in New Orleans.
