Germany's most renowned forensic pathologist Prof. Dr. Klaus Püschel takes to the stage of the Stadttheater. Moderated by true crime talker Dr. Tino Grosche, the insider reconstructs true crimes. The audience experiences at first hand how crime scenes are re-enacted, causes of death are determined and perpetrators are convicted. This true crime event promises in-depth insights into true crime cases and pure suspense. The special feature: They are all crimes in which Professor Püschel was involved as a forensic pathologist. It's about serial murders, sexual offenses, cold cases, but also about wrongfully convicted people.
Forensic pathologist Prof. Dr. Klaus Püschel works worldwide as a forensic scientist and was head of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in HH. In 1987, he performed the autopsy on the body of Uwe Barschel together with forensic pathologist Janssen. He was an expert witness in the Kachelmann case and the Göhrde murders, examined the body of the Reemtsma kidnapper and worked in Kosovo, Egypt and Syria.
In Benin, he performed the autopsy on the victim of a "voodoo murder". In Rwanda, he helped set up a memorial to the 1994 genocide in Rwanda at the Murambi Genocide Memorial. Püschel was made an honorary commissioner of the Hamburg police. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences LEOPOLDINA.
