The play is suitable for school-age children, but also appeals to adult audiences. The production is based on the Grimm's fairy tale "The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs", which focuses on the greed of mankind. The "theater 1" gives the story a contemporary setting:
Ilse Müller is different and that's how she looks: "Strange" would be a new German word. She likes old things, likes to repair things and saves things from the garbage can. Every now and then she talks to herself, as this makes many things clearer to her. She once worked in a mill with her husband. It was the best time of their lives, although their greatest wish was denied them, namely to have children of their own.
But then one day a small box floated across the stream to them with a tiny baby inside. Nobody knew yet that this child would make its way to the devil in 14 years ...
Christiane Remmert tells a story of trust in life that shows that wishes sometimes come true quite differently than we had planned.
