Soon after arriving in the Eifel, we follow the herb witch Lavendula to the beautiful wild flowers and herbs with mysterious healing powers. In the herb garden, she is sure to reveal many exciting recipes to us, and despite her advanced age, she makes healing ointment, cough syrup, flower soap and herbal pillows with us. Hopefully Lavendula will also allow us to explore the water habitat with the crayfish and fish in the gently rippling Urft. And perhaps she will accompany us on our trip to the kids, horses, cows and chickens in the open-air museum, which will take us on a journey back in time to the world of our ancestors.
However, the herb witch will stay away from the eerie Neanderthal cave with its woolly rhinoceroses and giant deer. Will the Romans still living in the Eifel invite us to their Roman castle for a campfire with bread and herb butter? In any case, we will find fossilized prehistoric creatures in the fossil field, which we can prepare in the old smithy.
