Onkel Fisch are the beacons of hope in the German satirical landscape. And wherever they go, they bring hope with them. Their motto: You can always despair. It's far too easy to rant about everything: climate change, war, prices, the AfD, Berlin, Donald Trump or Germany's current entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.

In the constant bombardment of doomsayers and whitewashers, many people believe they are already on the brink. Perhaps, but the best view is from the precipice. Most things are primarily a question of perspective. It doesn't really matter whether the glass is half full or half empty. More importantly, we have something to drink!

The two movement fanatics spread hope wherever they can. And how they can: With fun, singing, dancing and all at German speed and in slow motion. A modern cabaret show that balances expectation and attitude. Of course, Heiner Müller once said that optimism is just a lack of information. But you have to add: so is pessimism!
