Familientag Heimbach im Nationalpark Eifel
Apr 6, 2025 - Oct 21, 2025
Heimbach
On short hikes of around four kilometers in length, all nature-loving girls and boys together with their families can look forward to an approximately 3-hour, free hands-on program on various topics.
The events are primarily aimed at children of primary school age.
Small children should sit in a back carrier instead of a baby carriage.
The program can also be adapted to the needs of visually impaired and blind children as well as children with limited mobility or learning difficulties.
Depending on interest, age, weather and season, the program is developed with the group on site.
They go on a playful discovery tour to find answers to exciting questions: How can I actually recognize a wild forest? How can I find my way around in the wilderness? How old is the water in the national park? Who lives under the trees? Are there dangerous animals in the national park? How do animals actually hunt?
On the hikes accompanied by certified forest guides, children can use simple tools to uncover secrets along the way, learn about healing, poisonous and tasty plants, read the tracks of wild animals in the national park, develop their curiosity about the beauty of nature, learn about the interplay of natural elements or simply spend an exciting time together with the family in the forest.
