The approximately 6 km long walk takes us to the wild garlic-rich lime beech forests in the Eichtertal nature reserve on the Urft river. Here, plant species such as the fragrant wild garlic and other spring-flowering plants are introduced and their special way of life explained. A short detour takes us to a special archaeological feature of this area, the "Grüne Pütz" well site. This is where the approx. 100 km long Roman Eifel water pipeline to Cologne begins.
