Who the f*** is Madame Flöck?

This is the question many ask when they hold a bottle from Madame Flöck in their hands. Madame Flöck are two North Americans, Derek-Paul Labelle and Robert Kane, who were stranded on the Terrace Moselle for the love of wine. Okay, love for a woman also played a role, but more on that later. Derek Labelle, born in Canada, is actually at home all over the world. Robert Kane found his way from New York via Australia and New Zealand to the Mosel. Both met in Australia in the Barossa Valley, where they found out that they are so different and thus the "perfect match" to realize their dream of their own winery together. With no winemaking roots in their families, they set out to find THE place to make wine together. And this is where love comes in: Robert Kane fell in love with the Terrace Moselle and with a woman. Which love came first is like asking the chicken and the egg. They have now been a fixture in Winningen since 2018. Their wines are like their story - lively, interesting and somehow different.
