Museum Zinkhütter Hof
Stolberg
The permanent collection is dedicated to "Stolberg gold": since the 16th century, the brass trade has brought prosperity and wealth to the Stolberg valley. This is why brass is also referred to as "Stolberg gold".
"Zinc, a common material": At the end of the 18th century it was possible for the first time to extract pure zinc from calamine, until then this metal had not been known. Since the 19th century, the zinc industry has been an important employer.
"Aachen needle": The Aachen region was considered an important centre of German needle production. The documented history of the Aachen needle dates back to the 16th century.
In addition, changing exhibitions bring other themes to life time and again.
