The only Trappist abbey (silent nuns) in Germany.

Monastery herbal potion production, hand weaving and parament workshop. A visit to the monastery or the workshops is not possible because of our retreat.

Parament sales: Mon.-Sat. 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Visitors can celebrate the Holy Mass and the Hour Giver in the chapel.

Daily High mass with Gregorian chant: Mon.-Fri. approx. 7:30 a.m., Sat. 7:00 a.m. (Laudes integrated), Sun. 10:00 a.m.

Eifel National Park centre - “Wildnis(t)räume” exhibition

In the Eifel National Park centre at the Vogelsang IP “International Place”, visitors can experience nature with all their senses - indoors and outdoors. Surrounded by dense mixed deciduous forests, the modern visitors’ centre above the Urftsee lake has hosted the “Wildnis(t)räume” (“Wilderness Dreams”) exhibition - a barrier-free, interactive nature experience for people of all ages. Ahrquelle

In the cellar of one half-timbered-house from 1726 you can find the spring of the river Ahr.

Historic castle town of Blankenheim

Castle flair and half-timbered idyll of yesteryear - the Ahrquelle is one of the town's most important landmarks. The sublime castle towers over the town and is now a youth hostel. Discover Blankenheim on a stroll through the charming old town streets with half-timbered houses.

Eifel-Blick "Hühnerberg"

This view of the Eifel (533 metres above sea level) offers views of many Eifel mountains, such as the Kelberg, Boxberg, Eselsberg and Stromberg. In good weather, you can see the grandstands of the Nürburgring from here. In silence you might even think you can hear the sound of engines.

Astropeiler Stockert – Historische Radiosternwarte

On the Stockert, a mountain near Bad Münstereifel, stands a technical monument: the Astropeiler, Germany's first freely movable radio telescope.

Erftquelle

The "Erft" rises in the small village of Holzmülheim, directly below the Himberg. It flows from here in the direction of Bad Münstereifel until it flows into the Rhine after about 100 km near Neuss. The spring was framed with natural stones by the village community.There is also a small statue of St. John Nepomuk, who is venerated as a bridge saint and is supposed to protect against water hazards. In the immediate vicinity is a playground, where there are also barbecue facilities and a lawn for sunbathing. At events at the spring, there is the possibility of being baptised in the Erft and receiving the title of "Erft cadet".
