Arrival by public transport

By train to Blankenheim-Wald station, then by bus 832 (except Sundays and public holidays) or by taxi bus* to Blankenheim bus station. From there follow the signs to "Jugendherberge" (youth hostel) (approx. 1 km on foot up the hill).

* Line 832 runs as a taxi bus at weekends and at certain times during the week. This means that the bus will only run if you call 0 180 6 / 15 15 15 at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time (20 cents per call from a German landline; mobile phones vary). For groups of more than 5 people, the registration deadline is at least 3 working days before departure. Depending on the number of registered passengers, a taxi, minibus or bus will then come to the stop. For the TaxiBus, a surcharge of € 1 per person (children from 6-14 years only € 0.50) and trip is payable on top of the other ticket. (as of Sept. 2013)

Arrival by bus or car From Aachen and Cologne: Follow the A61 towards Koblenz, keep right at the Kerpen junction and follow the A1 until the Blankenheim exit. Turn right there onto the B51 towards Dahlem/Trier/Stadtkyll. Keep right to stay on the B51. After approx. 2 km turn left onto the B258. Follow the road for about 1 km, then turn right "In den Rhenn/K69" and shortly afterwards take the 3rd exit at the roundabout and after 100 m turn left towards the youth hostel. After 100 m you will reach the youth hostel.

From Frankfurt: Follow the A48 to the Koblenz junction. Then take the A61 towards Bonn/Köln and follow the motorway to the Wehr exit. Turn onto the B412 in the direction of Nürburgring/Adenau/Kempenich. After approx. 23 km turn right onto the B258. Pass 2 roundabouts and after approx. 38 km turn left "In den Rhenn/K69". Shortly afterwards, take the 3rd exit at the roundabout and after 100 m turn left towards the youth hostel. After 100m you will reach the youth hostel.

Tip: From the entrance to Blankenheim/B258, look out for the youth hostel signs.

Arrival by bicycle You can store your bicycles free of charge in the hostel's own bicycle cellar.
