EifelSpur Wildnispfad
Dahlem
Tranquillity, fresh forest air and rustling leaves - on this hike on the "Eifelspur Wildnispfad" trail, you will immerse yourself in the wilderness of the forest around Dahlem. The rustling of the leaves in the wind, the twittering of birds from the depths of the forest and the crunching under your shoes are the only sounds you will hear. Perfect for switching off.
The wilderness trail first takes you to the Maria Frieden monastery convent. There you can enjoy a wonderful view over the wide fields around the convent. The convent was founded in the 1950s and nuns still live here today. Oils and herbal drinks are produced in the convent's own herbal workshop.
You cross untouched nature reserves, beautiful mixed deciduous forests and pass large open spaces where you can linger. Between the forests, you will always have beautiful views over wild herb meadows. You can also catch a glimpse of the small Dahlemer Binz airfield from time to time.
Two rest areas invite you to take a break and enjoy the sunshine in the clearings.
Wilderness and nature lovers will feel right at home on this EifelSpur.
