From this location (540 metres above sea level) you have a wonderful view over the Ahr and Eifel landscape in good weather. The view wanders over the Aremberg with its flattened summit (623 metres above sea level) to the Nürburg (678 metres above sea level) and the Hohe Acht (747 metres above sea level).

Salvatorianer Kloster Steinfeld

Visit the Salvatorian Monestry Steinfeld with three characteristic towers. The monastery together with its Basilica belongs to the most important medieval monuments in the Rhineland. Its beginnings go back to the time of Henry I (919 - 936). The basilica attached to the monastery was built between 1142 and 1150 as one of the earliest German vaulted churches by Premonstratensians.

Eifel-Blick "Bergfried"

At an altitude of 470 metres above sea level, you look south-east over the historic castle town of Reifferscheid. The village includes the castle complex with the outer castle and the castle ring as well as the valley settlement at the foot of the castle.

The family-friendly guided tours are especially designed for children, for whom a visit to the "underground world" is a very special experience! Guided tours of the former lead ore mine are offered three times a day for individual visitors.

The Eifel National Park region is one of the few locations in Germany where it is possible to see the Milky Way with the naked eye.
